Robert Tomaino Featured on This Podcast Will Change Your Life
Robert Tomaino discussed his new book, New Madrid, on This Podcast Will Change Your Life. Listen to Tomaino discuss writing an alternative history, the Salem Witch Trials, pandemic writing, and publishing.
Imagine a world in which the Salem Witch Trials never ended…It's the early 1800s and Jack Ellard is a reluctant lawman of the growing river town of New Madrid, Missouri. Expelled from the army for his role in a brutal Native American massacre, Jack has carved out a solitary life as sheriff and rebuffed several offers to become marshal. Despite his desire to avoid controversy and conflict, trouble follows him out west. When a young girl named Abigail Duncan goes missing, everything changes. Jack is forced to delve into the town's secrets and confront his feelings for the girl's mother, Sarah. But when a firebrand preacher named Elijah Prescott, and a city-raised Native American named Chata, arrive and offer to help find the young girl, Jack is unsure of their motives. Neither is who they claim to be. Even Sarah seems to be hiding things from him, and Jack begins to fear the preacher's criticism of her bold and uncompromising demeanor.
I was struck by the premise that the Salem Witch Trials never ended, leading to that early 1800s Missouri setting. It reminds me of how small changes in history can snowball, and exploring an alternate history like that takes real commitment to world-building. I once tried writing an alternate history where the Industrial Revolution started earlier, but I got bogged down in research. I wonder how he balanced the historical details with the fictional mystery.
The deposit section is usually one of the first places new users want to understand properly. When reading about a DM Win deposit, I would look for practical information such as the available payment method, minimum or maximum limits if applicable, and what happens after confirmation. Rohit also tends to check whether the transaction status is clearly displayed after submitting the request. Explaining these small details gives readers a clearer picture of the process and helps them approach the payment section more carefully.
For me, a quick URL check is part of the normal login process. I do it before entering a username or password, particularly when I have reached a page through a search engine. The 99exch Login page can be kept as a direct reference instead of searching repeatedly. I also prefer using my personal phone or computer for account access. If I have to use a shared device, I make sure the session is closed afterward. It is a simple routine that helps keep things organized.
