Amy Shaw - Flash Nonfiction Funny survey responses
Fiction or Nonfiction?
Nonfiction, baby! My life's got enough fodder to fill volumes!
Is it harder to write funny or sad?
Sad, Dude. Gotta dig deep, face the devil within, and pony up the right words. It hurts until it's over, but then it's the perfect balm.
Long form or short form?
Short, short, short - I'm a flash kinda girl. These days time is of the essence - get in, get out, get 'er done.
Poetry or prose?
Love them both. Sometimes a poetic ditty does the trick. I tend to use poetry when I crave thirsty expression.
Prose is my goto when I'm looking for a laugh.
Boxers or kickboxers?
Really? Who can resist a fellow in boxers?
Piece that you read and said Wish I’d thought of that?
Abigail Thomas's, Safekeeping Some True Stories from a Life
Cloned or frozen?
My DNA sucks these days - just throw the test tubes out. But if we're talkin' margaritas - frozen, salted, and a pink umbrella, please.
Book you read and reread?
Are you there God? It's me, Margaret.
When writing is going well…
I'm one happy chick. The words are aflowin', my feet are tapping, and I'm riding that beautiful high.
Desert Island Book?
Smut, smut, and more smut.
