"The novel is worth reading for the musicality and richness of the prose alone. Fans of Dylan’s work may find the speculative nature of it alternately frustrating and fascinating, but really this is a book that should be of interest to anyone with a musical mind, an interest in the power of protest songs, and a desire to understand what it feels like to be (or perhaps to fashion oneself into) a legend."

Great review! I love how you capture the musicality and depth of Songs from a Voice. It makes me want to dig into the themes and rhythm of each track. Reading thoughtful takes like this makes even random fun things like New Year’s Eve Live Bailey Zimmerman Red Heart Printed Pant pop into my head music really keeps the mind dancing long after the first listen!
